Westby racecar driver Dexter Bean will be making a promotional stop in Viroqua and Westby on Tuesday and Wednesday with several events on the schedule.

Bean drives the No. 37 Team Glock Racing car in the ARCA RE/MAX racing series. He's currently in 11th place in the series' standings and has posted four top-10 finishes this season out of 14 races. Last year he finished third overall in the ARCA RE/MAX series driving for his family-owned Blackjack Racing team.

On Tuesday he's to be at the Vernon County Sheriff's Department in Viroqua at 2 p.m. Then Bean and law officers will go to Timber Coulee to the Westby Rod and Gun Club range for a trap and range shoot Tuesday at about 3:30 p.m.

On Wednesday night, Bean will go to Bleachers in Westby for an autograph-signing session lasting from 5-8 p.m.

This next weekend, Bean will travel to Oshkosh for a special Ducks Unlimited Show where he will showcase Glock products and the Glock racing team. Glock Inc., is a manufacturer of firearms. The number 37 is significant to GLOCK, because it represents the model number of the fastest growing law enforcement pistol in the United States, the .45 caliber G.A.P. (GLOCK Auto Pistol).

Bean will appear at the Oshkosh show with actor R. Lee Ermey, the host of the History Channel's show "Mail Call" about militaria.

Ermey is well known for being a former U.S. Marine Corps drill sergeant and also starring in several movies, including Full Metal Jacket, The Boys in Company C, Fletch Lives, Saving Silverman and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Bean's next ARCA race will be at the Southern Illinois 100, at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, Monday, Sept. 1 at 2 p.m.
