A 71-year-old Westby man was injured when the four-wheel bike he was riding was struck from behind by a vehicle in the town of Christiana, Wednesday, at 6:52 p.m.
According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department, Clemmet M. Bergh suffered non-life threatening injuries in the incident, which occurred on Saugstad Road east of Garlick Road. Bergh was traveling west on Saugstad Road when he was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Gwendolyn C. Siverhus, 70, rural Cashton.
Bergh was knocked from the four-wheel bike in the accident. He was transported to Vernon Memorial Healthcare by Tri-State Ambulance.
Siverhus and her passenger, Emogene F. Quaal of rural Westby, were not injured.
Assisting at the scene were the Westby First Responders, Westby Fire Department and the Westby Police Department.
The incident is still under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department.
